Itinerary
Day 1: Into the Gobi & the Landscapes of Tsagaan Suvarga
Leave Ulaanbaatar early in the morning and begin your private overland journey south into the Gobi Desert. Travel with your English-speaking guide and professional driver as the city gives way to vast open plains and the remote landscapes of southern Mongolia.
Stop for groceries before continuing towards Tsagaan Suvarga, with lunch at a local restaurant along the way.
Arrive at Tsagaan Suvarga in the late afternoon and explore its striking natural formations before continuing to your Tourist Ger camp. Settle into your ger and enjoy dinner at camp, marking your first evening in the Gobi.

Day 2: Yolyn Am & Horseback Riding in the Gobi
After breakfast, depart Tsagaan Suvarga and continue across the Gobi towards Yolyn Am, travelling through the expansive landscapes of southern Mongolia before stopping for lunch at a local restaurant.
Arrive at Yolyn Am in the afternoon and begin exploring the dramatic valley on horseback. Ride for approximately 15 minutes into the valley before continuing on foot, surrounded by the rugged mountain scenery.
After exploring the valley, return on horseback and continue to your Tourist Ger camp. Enjoy dinner at camp and settle in for your second night in the Gobi.

Day 3: Khongoryn Els, Camel Riding & Sand Sledding
After breakfast, leave Yolyn Am and continue towards Khongoryn Els, travelling for approximately five hours through the changing landscapes of the Gobi. Arrive at your Tourist Ger camp around lunchtime and enjoy lunch before heading out to explore the dunes.
Spend the afternoon discovering the immense landscapes of Khongoryn Els, with approximately two to three hours dedicated to exploring the area. Ride across the desert on camelback for around 30 minutes before continuing into the dunes.
Spend around an hour exploring the sand dunes and try sand sledding before returning to your Tourist Ger camp. Enjoy dinner at camp and another evening surrounded by the vast landscapes of the Gobi.

Day 4: Across the Desert to the Flaming Cliffs of Bayanzag
After breakfast, leave Khongoryn Els and continue your private journey across the Gobi towards Bayanzag. Travel for approximately four hours through the remote desert landscapes of southern Mongolia, stopping for lunch at a local restaurant along the way.
Arrive at Bayanzag in the afternoon and explore the famous Flaming Cliffs, spending time among the distinctive desert formations and surrounding scenery.
After exploring Bayanzag, continue to your Tourist Ger camp and settle in for the evening. Enjoy dinner at camp and another night surrounded by the landscapes of the Gobi.

Day 5: Baga Gazariin Chuluu & Stargazing in the Gobi
After breakfast, leave Bayanzag and begin the journey north towards Baga Gazariin Chuluu. Travel for approximately eight hours through the vast and remote landscapes of the Gobi, stopping for lunch at a local restaurant along the way.
Arrive at Baga Gazariin Chuluu in the late afternoon and explore its distinctive granite rock formations and surrounding landscape before continuing to your Tourist Ger camp.
After dinner, spend your final evening in the Gobi beneath the open night sky, with time for stargazing away from the lights of the city.

Day 6: From the Gobi Back to Ulaanbaatar
Enjoy breakfast at camp before leaving Baga Gazariin Chuluu and beginning the final overland journey back towards Ulaanbaatar.
Stop for lunch during the journey before continuing towards the capital. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar is expected between approximately 13:00 and 15:00, where you will be transferred to the city or airport according to your onward arrangements.
Your six-day private Gobi tour comes to an end after travelling through some of southern Mongolia’s most remarkable landscapes, from Tsagaan Suvarga and Yolyn Am to Khongoryn Els, the Flaming Cliffs of Bayanzag and Baga Gazariin Chuluu.
