Sunrise on the East 2D/1N

Explore the quieter side of Bali on a private two-day journey through the island’s eastern coast and countryside. Discover contrasting black and white sand beaches, sacred temples, royal water palaces and the beautiful rice terraces of Sidemen, with an overnight stay in East Bali allowing you to explore the region at a more relaxed pace.

Day 1: Coastal East Bali

Begin the journey along Bali’s eastern coastline at Kusamba Beach, known for its striking black volcanic sand and traditional coastal scenery. Continue to Bias Tugel, a small white-sand beach surrounded by rocky headlands and clear tropical water.

Visit Goa Lawah Temple, one of Bali’s important sacred temples, famous for the large bat cave at the heart of the complex. From here, continue east to Taman Ujung, the former royal water palace of the Karangasem Kingdom, where elegant pavilions, ponds and gardens are framed by mountain and coastal views.

After exploring the palace, continue to your accommodation in East Bali for the evening.

Day 2: Royal Palaces & Sacred East Bali

After breakfast, travel to Lempuyang Temple, one of East Bali’s most famous temple complexes, set high in the mountains with spectacular views towards Mount Agung.

Continue to Tirta Gangga, the former royal water palace known for its fountains, stone carvings, gardens and stepping stones across ornamental pools.

The journey then continues into the peaceful countryside of Sidemen, where sweeping rice terraces and traditional villages provide a beautiful final glimpse of rural Bali before returning to your destination.
